The Poppin' Process | How We Do It

At Pop Yum, our popcorn-making process isn’t just business; it’s an art form. 

First up, we throw our premium mushroom seeds into the popcorn kettle, and from there, it’s like a VIP sorting session. The small guys get sifted out (sorry, no room for runts here), so only the perfect pop makes it through. And while other brands might coat their popcorn in fake flavours and weird colours, we take the high road. We infuse natural goodness right into the oil, because who needs artificial when you’ve got the real deal?

From there, it’s a smooth ride. Our popcorn gets a lift (literally) through trays, and after a wild ride in the hopper, it lands in our snazzy film bags, ready for action. But we don’t stop there. Each bag has to pass the final weigh-in, and let’s just say, we don’t mess around. Any bag that doesn’t hit the mark? Rejected. But no worries, those underweight rebels don’t go to waste; they’re put to good use in quality control. It’s all part of our commitment to ensuring every bite is packed with flavour and perfectly popped.
